Effective October 1, 2019 Hair brooms can no longer be used for sweeping at the Bluenose Curling Club. Members can still use them to throw their stone but not for sweeping. Similar to the banning of certain synthetic broom heads in competition a year or so ago, hair brooms have been proven to damage the ice surface so we are asking for our members cooperation with this Board decision.
We regret any inconveniance this causes however we are doing this to keep the clubs surface in top shape.
