RENTAL INFORMATION
ICE RENTALS - Available mid-October to the end of March. Ice rental fees include the use of the downstairs lounge, but not the upper hall or kitchen. Food service in the lounge is limited to sandwiches, snacks, pizza, etc. If more extensive food service is desired, it should be provided in the upper hall according to our catering policy (see paragaph 5).
HALL RENTALS - The upstairs hall and board room are available for rent mid-October to the end of March. We do not rent our facilities in June, July, or August, except to members.
LOUNGE RENTALS - The downstairs lounge is available for rent for non-curling functions. If bar service is requested, the Renter must provide a Special Occasion Liquor License.
BAR SERVICE - The Club has a liquor license and can provide bar service in conjunction with any sanctioned curling function. Other curling events, such as corporate or recreational outings, require the renter to provide the appropriate liquor license.
Renters are not premitted to bring liquor into the Club at any time.
CATERING - The Club does not provide food catering services and does not permit self-catering. Any food brought into the club must have been prepared in a licensed facility. If more extensive food service is requested, the Club will provide the names of caterers approved to use the facilities.
SET-UP - On request, we will setup tables and chairs prior to the function, or the renter may do so, in the arrangement they prefer. We will re-stack the tables and chairs after the function.
DECORATING - We do not permit taping or tacking anything to our walls. All decoration plans must be approved in advance by the Club to avoid damage and minimize clean-up. Decorating times must be arranged at time of booking.
CONFETTI - Not permitted anywhere on Club premises.
SMOKING RESTRICTION - The club does not permit smoking indoors or in the entry way at anytime.
DEPOSITS - A deposit may by require for any rental. The cost of correcting any damage during a rental, and/or the cost of above-normal cleaning, is the responsibility of the renter.
MEMBER DISCOUNTS - Members are entitled to a discount of 20% of the posted fees for rentals made by them for personal purposes, such as family weddings, anniversaries, and receptions. The discount does not apply to members renting on behalf of a club, group or organization.
RENTAL REQUESTS - All requests should be directed to the club member appointed annually to handle rentals. No other person may enter into a contract for a rental.

Summer Rental of the Ice Shed - During the non-curling season, the curling rink area is available for the Town of New Glasgow, and its Recreation Department. Business or others can use via rental from the Bluenose Curling Club.
Written agreements and Insurance Certificates are required for all rentals.
